Isabel Swope joined Glade Brook in 2024 and focuses on sourcing, investment research, due diligence and supporting existing portfolio companies. Prior to joining Glade Brook, Ms. Swope worked in growth equity at Hedosophia and spent two years in investment banking. Isabel graduated from the Huntsman Program at the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Economics and a B.A. in International Studies.
Falyn Spindel joined Glade Brook in 2023 as Office Manager and Assistant, providing support to Paul Hudson, Founder/CIO, and the Miami Office. Prior to joining Glade Brook, Ms. Spindel worked her way up from Receptionist to Executive Assistant at Lee Equity Partners, a Private Equity firm based in NYC. Falyn earned a B.A. in Psychology & Justice Studies from the University of New Hampshire.
Andy Berman joined Glade Brook in 2022 as an Operating Partner. Prior to joining Glade Brook, Andy was an executive at Gopuff where he launched and led their advertising business. Earlier in his career, Andy spent 10 years at Facebook where he led multiple business units. In his last role with the company, Andy led Facebook’s Audience Network business across North and South America. Andy is a graduate of Hamilton College. He lives in Westport, CT.
Marissa Boiano joined Glade Brook in 2022, providing support to the Glade Brook Business Team. Prior to joining Glade Brook, Ms. Boiano was a Tax Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP where she served in the Asset and Wealth Management practice. Marissa earned a B.S. in Public Accounting and a M.S. in Professional Taxation from Fordham University. Marissa is a licensed CPA in New York State.
Jonathan DiOrio joined Glade Brook in 2019 as a Strategic Advisor. In addition to his active roles with Glade Brook and its portfolio, including a former Director at Capsule, Mr. DiOrio advises and invests in technology companies across the world. Until recently, Mr. DiOrio served as Chief Business Officer at Gopuff where he previously advised the founders for 4 years. Prior to that, Mr. DiOrio was a senior executive at Uber, leading Uber’s FinTech Practice Globally and US Business Development. During his Uber tenure, he also ran Uber’s global partnerships with Travel, Sports & Entertainment companies and helped to scale the 100+ person Uber Business team as one of its earliest members, and worked on Uber’s most important global regulatory and policy initiatives. Mr. DiOrio spent the last two decades in senior roles across a variety of high growth technology companies. Jonathan is an honors graduate of Vanderbilt University.
Matthew Crakes joined Glade Brook in 2018 as a Strategic Advisor and brings domain expertise in Southeast Asia and technology, media and telecom. Mr. Crakes is the CIO of Rigel Capital, an early stage venture investor in disruptive companies located in southeast Asia and India. Prior to Rigel, Mr. Crakes was the Founder of Canaan Valley Capital Management, which was focused on investing in public and private companies primarily in Southeast Asia. Earlier in his career, Mr. Crakes was a managing director at Shumway Capital Partners, leading the global technology, media and telecommunications and emerging market/Asia teams and a managing director in high-yield cable/telecom research at Merrill Lynch. Mr. Crakes received an M.B.A. from the University of Southern California and a B.S. in finance and economics from Indiana University. Proficient in Mandarin, Mr. Crakes attended graduate school at Fudan University in Shanghai.
Billy Chen joined Glade Brook in 2022 as a Strategic Advisor. Prior to joining Glade Brook, Mr. Chen served as a senior operating executive at Finix, based in the Bay Area, overseeing Financial Partnerships. Prior to Finix, Mr. Chen served as director of global payments at Uber and worked in the financial services and treasury teams at Google. Mr. Chen is currently spending time advising and working in operating roles at fintech startups. Mr. Chen brings phenomenal experience in FinTech and payments. Mr. Chen is a graduate of the University of California, Davis.
Emily Zaccone joined Glade Brook in 2021 as Office Manager and Assistant, providing support to the entire Glade Brook team. Prior to joining Glade Brook, Ms. Zaccone was at Carmody Torrance Sandak Hennessey LLP where she was the Legal Assistant/Paralegal to the Zoning and Real Estate Department. Emily earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut.
Hallie Ross is Vice President of Investor Relations and manages Glade Brook’s client service efforts while working closely with the broader business team. Ms. Ross joined Glade Brook pre-launch in 2011 as a Research Associate. Prior to joining Glade Brook, Ms. Ross was at Shumway Capital Partners where she served as a Research Assistant. Previously, Hallie worked at ICR as an Investor Relations Associate and earned a B.S. from Fairfield University.
Fred Purse serves as Glade Brook’s Chief Compliance Officer and Vice President, Accounting, focusing on compliance, accounting and operations. Mr. Purse joined Glade Brook in 2015 as Assistant Controller. Prior to joining Glade Brook, Mr. Purse was at Ernst & Young LLP where he served as an Audit Manager in the Financial Services Office. Mr. Purse earned a B.S. in accounting and finance and a M.S. in accounting from Syracuse University and is a licensed CPA in Connecticut.
Nick Rossi joined Glade Brook in 2017 and leads the Firm’s finance efforts. Prior to joining Glade Brook, Mr. Rossi served as the VP of Finance for Thrive Capital, a New York-based venture capital firm where he oversaw all financial operations. Prior to Thrive Capital, Mr. Rossi was Controller of the private equity business at New Mountain Capital and an Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Rossi holds a B.S. and Masters in Accountancy from Villanova University.
Kyle Daniel serves as Glade Brook’s Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Daniel is responsible for helping lead the Firm’s overall strategy, operations and capital raising efforts, Mr. Daniel joined Glade Brook pre-launch in 2011, and previously held roles at Shumway Capital Partners, Moore Capital Management, and Citigroup. Mr. Daniel is a graduate of Otterbein University.
JP Estrada joined Glade Brook in 2022, providing support to the Glade Brook Investment Team. Prior to joining Glade Brook, Mr. Estrada was an Investment Associate at Cambridge Associates, where he managed capital on behalf of private clients and advised on manager selection, portfolio construction, and asset allocation. Juan-Pablo graduated from Boston College with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Finance.
Aleem Virji joined Glade Brook in 2023, providing support to the Glade Brook Investment Team. Prior to joining Glade Brook, Mr. Virji was an Investment Banking Analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he worked on transactions across the North American M&A landscape. Aleem earned Degrees in Business and Financial Economics from the Ivey Business School and the University of Western Ontario.
Michael Stavinsky joined Glade Brook in 2022, focusing on investment research, evaluating and executing investment opportunities and supporting existing portfolio companies. Prior to joining Glade Brook, Mr. Stavinsky spent two years as a Global Investment Banking Analyst at RBC Capital Markets in the healthcare coverage group where he worked on transactions across M&A, Equity and Debt products with a focus on healthcare technology. Michael graduated from Indiana University with a B.A. in Computer Science and a minor in Economics.
CH Wong joined Glade Brook in 2017 and focuses on sourcing, investment research, due diligence and portfolio company value-add. Previously, Mr. Wong was a member of Credit Suisse’s investment banking team in Hong Kong, New York and Singapore, focusing primarily on the Technology, Media and Telecommunications sectors. Mr. Wong earned a B.A. degree in Economics from Swarthmore College.
Linda Guo joined Glade Brook in 2016 and focuses on sourcing, investment research, due diligence and portfolio company value-add. Prior to Glade Brook, Ms. Guo worked in investment banking at Credit Suisse in Hong Kong, where she focused on equity capital markets transactions in the technology sector. Ms. Guo earned an MBA from Stanford University and is a graduate of New York University.
Paul Hudson is the founding partner of Glade Brook Capital Partners, serves as its Chief Investment Officer, and has led all investment efforts since inception. Prior to founding Glade Brook, Mr. Hudson was a Managing Director and Head of the Communications, Media & Entertainment group at Shumway Capital Partners where he also helped launch the firm’s private investing effort. Earlier in his career, Mr. Hudson was an Analyst at Rhombus Capital Management, an Associate at Alterity Partners, and an Analyst at Morgan Stanley & Co. Mr. Hudson earned an A.B. with honors from Georgetown University.
Phil Harris joined Glade Brook in 2017 as an Operating Partner and brings domain experience in SaaS. Phil serves on the Board of portfolio company Parsable. Mr. Harris is a 3-time technology company founder. Mr. Harris founded Topo.ai, a high-growth SaaS platform that was acquired by Crisis24, a division of GardaWorld. Mr. Harris founded Geofeedia, a high-growth SaaS platform that was recapitalized by Silversmith Capital Partners. Mr. Harris also founded Alterity Partners, a financial services venture acquired by First Horizon (NYSE: FHN). Mr. Harris served as SVP of Corporate Development at priceline.com prior to becoming a founder. Mr. Harris is a graduate of Ohio State University and MBA from Harvard Business School.
Mr. Helppie joined Glade Brook in 2021 as an Operating Partner. Prior to joining Glade Brook, Mr. Helppie started his career at Goldman Sachs where he worked for 6 years in the investment banking division in Germany and in the principal investment area in London. Mr. Helppie is a serial technology entrepreneur in software, e-commerce and real estate, and has built and scaled successful businesses in the US, Brazil and Germany. Mr. Helppie is a graduate of Georgetown University McDonough School of Business.
